KENYANS SET TO BENEFIT FROM ENHANCED PORT INFRASTRUCTURE PARTNERSHIP

Kenyans are set to benefit from improved trade efficiency, faster cargo handling and expanded economic opportunities following renewed cooperation aimed at modernizing the country’s port infrastructure. The Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) has received assurance of continued support from Denmark during a meeting between KPA Managing Director William Ruto and the Stephan Schonemann, where discussions focused on strengthening long-standing cooperation between Kenya and Denmark in the maritime and logistics sectors. The Ambassador, accompanied by Deputy Head of Mission Soren Moller, Colonel Lasse Sand and other delegates, emphasized Denmark’s readiness to support key development initiatives through TradeMark Africa, noting that the partnership aims to enhance port efficiency, boost productivity and strengthen regional trade competitiveness, while Capt. Ruto welcomed the continued collaboration, expressing confidence that it will help advance modern, efficient and sustainable port infrastructure in the country.
